At the airport, waiting for Erik's flight, we received an outpouring of kindness from strangers. Several people came up and shook Erik's hand, thanking him for all he does for them and our country. Mom and I teared up each time a well-wisher approached him. It was amazing. 

Erik, what a great R&R!! You are such a great father and really jumped in there with Garrett. He loves his daddy. And I love you too! We can't wait to see you soon!!

Texas, Sweet Texas

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our first few days in Texas!! These were taken on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18. Erik's parents threw him an incredible party on Saturday. We all had a great time and I know Erik loved seeing everyone. Thank you for having us for the week, Barbara and Doug!

Fresh baby...

There's nothing like our boy first thing in the morning when he wakes up. We got him cozy to see Grandpa Seholm who was sitting outside enjoying the cool fall-like Missouri MAY air. The weather here is weird!!!

Big boy...

The rest of the Seholms are here in Missouri to visit Erik, Garrett and I. Aunt Amanda gave this hat to Garrett today. The contraption he's in is the Baby Einstein jumper we just bought him...he loves it! We've loved having Erik home! Lots of great times to be had!

The Zoo and the Seholm Zoo!

Erik and I took Garrett to the St. Louis Zoo on Thursday. Apparently it was 'field trip day' because every child in St. Louis under the age of 12 was there! We had a great time! Erik bought Garrett a frog stuffed animal at the gift shop. The other pictures are of Garrett and Erik bonding over day-to-day activities. The last is of the three Seholm men...Erik, Garrett and of course, Charlie.

Together at last!

So...we are finally together! Garrett has taken to Erik immediately! We've had such a great time together. The pictures were taken at the St. Louis Airport and at breakfast the following morning.
