"I'm a Little Pepper"

Garrett's favorite snack - his feet.

Aunt Ashley helping Garrett stand up. He's so serious in front of the camera.

No pictures, please...

Chewing on the diaper bag. The money we spend on toys and this is what he wants to play with - the straps on his db. Go figure!

The relevance of Dr Pepper runs deep in our family (mostly the Barkley side). Keith, a family friend of the Seholms, gave this "I'm a little Pepper" onesie to Garrett after a visit to the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco. Of the four-plus years I lived in Waco, not once did I go the the DP Museum. How sad is that?! Redgardless, doesn't Garrett look adorable in it? The last picture of was taken at the Port Neches Spray Park. Our plans were diverted to the spray park due to Hurricane Dolly. We were in the car, headed to the beach, when our hostess called to say the power was out and the sky was black. It's funny how a hurricane hundreds of miles away can affect us. But we had fun despite!

Garrett is still on a one way course to crawling or something like it. We'll keep you posted! Also, Garrett said "Da Da" the other day and my mother, Nana Sue, was my witness. He said it twice and hasn't said it since. I wrote Erik immediately to tell him the fun news.

In a week's time, Melissa will be entering the CIA...no, not that one...the Culinary Institute of America, California campus. How awesome is that?!

Old Sparky - the Sequel

Saturday night dinner at the club - Garrett and I having a chuckle.

Auntie Amanda and Unca Jason looking all cozy.

Much needed boy-bonding-time. I say this because I'm afraid I will warp this child with all my shopping and etc.

'Don't shoot!' - super-fab water baby carrier compliments of the Auntie Amanda. Thank you for the great gift!!

Me being a super-mom - proper sun saftey is a MUST!!

Garrett, his new carseat (pictures soon) and I are headed back to H-ville for the Fourth. I'm sure we will have great stories and even better pictures to share. I hope you all have a great 4th of July weekend.

And, if you know Scarlett Denson, please wish her a Happy Birthday on the 4th!!
