At the airport, waiting for Erik's flight, we received an outpouring of kindness from strangers. Several people came up and shook Erik's hand, thanking him for all he does for them and our country. Mom and I teared up each time a well-wisher approached him. It was amazing.
Erik, what a great R&R!! You are such a great father and really jumped in there with Garrett. He loves his daddy. And I love you too! We can't wait to see you soon!!

I had such a wonderful time on R & R! Thanks Mom and Dad for having us over and throwing the BBQ!! Kristin and Garrett, I love you sooo much and can't wait to be together as our little family again :) (yes, that includes Charlie too, hehe)!!
