Where did the summer go?

Baylor vs. Sam Houston State game
Sept. 4
(isn't G cute in his Baylor polo?)

BUGWB (Baylor Univ Golden Wave Band) - halftime
Baylor vs. Buffalo SUNY
Sept. 11

Yes, that is a doorknob at the bottom of our castle. Garrett will be happy to tell you about the fireman who had to open that door. :)

A picture of our big boy
(and his mother who has on no make-up and has bed head)

So tired. Took me forever to wake these two.

So where did the summer go? Our summer went with family visits, day trips around the area, football games, rainy days and the PBS morning lineup. So here's the highlights:
July: Grandma Barbara, Amanda and Jason came to visit for the 4th.
August: I turned 30, Nana Sue had a birthday
September: Rain, grad school, and Baylor Football!!!

G: Is learning so much every day I'm not sure I can keep up. He knows his letters and numbers (although we are working on the actual counting still), colors, shapes and is reciting the Constitution (what? No, he's not, I promise) but he is familiar with every show on PBS. Curious George, Cat in the Hat, Word World, Super Why, Clifford... did I get them all? While I promise I don't strap him down in front of the TV, I'm super surprised how much he picks up from these shows (in a great way)! He loves to paint and build castles with his blocks. He calls small or light things "baby" and big things "heavy". So if he sees a big box its a "heavy box" and if he sees a small/lower case letter he calls it a "baby (letter)". I love how talkative he is... "Mommy, help" or "Need help". He's always asking "You hear that noise?" And lately he's all about hugs and kisses, especially kisses. He kisses the computer, the cat, my arm, you get the picture.

That's all for now! Happy September!
