Garrett and Auntie Ashie (im)patiently waiting to be seated at
La Plactia in Old Town (Albuquerque, NM)
My sweet boy...with water all down his front.
My aunt's farm home. Well, the back of it.
This guy is a super trooper. He was an excellent kid the entire trip, which totalled more than 57 hours in the car.
These smiles, I love these smiles!!
Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX
I think I was Garrett's age when my mom (Nana Sue) first brought me to the beach (the same shoreline if I'm not mistaken). The tradition is carried on.
You can see the progression...
My mom, my dad and I took Garrett to the Groves spray park.
Holding is own with the big kids.
So serious.
Erik and I being 'farewelled' from the 94th EN BN
by LTC Anderson.
Goodness, it's been a wild month. With my grandmother's illness and ultimate passing, we have been on the road quite a bit. As stated before, I believe Garrett and I logged more than 57 hours in the car in a week's time. Not too fun, but it was a means to a greater end. We were able to spend time with family we hadn't seen in years. I'm thankful for our time in NM and TX. We also had a few firsts, one of which was Garrett's first time in the ocean. It was an incredible experience. To see the joy and excitement on his face was priceless.
Just tonight, Erik and I were 'farewelled' from our BN. Being with the 94th has been THE most amazing experience. We're so thankful to have been a part of the Wolverine Family.
Thanks, everyone! Now we're headed to the ECCC!

What a month indeed, oh my. I'm sorry about your Grandma. I was thinking the other day. If it werent for Hurricane Ike, would you have gone to NM last Fall?
I also cant believe Erik's out of the 94th. The 94th seems to be a completely different unit already!
All the best in the ECCC and beyond! KIT!
